10 EASY STEPS TO OWNING A KEIM CORP. HOME:
STEP 1 - LOT DEPOSIT
A fully refundable deposit will hold the site
of your choice, while design and pricing are finalized.
STEP 2 - CONTRACT
Once pricing and design changes have been finalized,
the formal purchase documents will be drawn up. At the time of contract signing,
a total of 10% of the purchase price of your home is required as earnest money.
STEP 3 - FINANCING
Once the contract is finalized, you may work
with the lender of your choice to secure financing of your new home. AT KEIM CORP.,
WE CARRY THE COSTS OF CONSTRUCTION - so all you need to do is apply for a conventional
mortgage that is paid out at closing.
STEP 4 - BLUEPRINTS
While you are obtaining your financial commitment,
we will be preparing your blueprints - reflecting those design modifications that
are noted in your contract.
STEP 5 - SELECTIONS
Prior to the start of construction you will
need to make your decisions regarding colors, cabinetry, lighting, carpeting, tile,
etc. Available appointment times may vary, so be sure to call ahead.
STEP 6 - PERMIT
Once financing has been secured and blueprints
approved, we can submit to the appropriate building department for a permit to begin
building your new home.
STEP 7 - CONSTRUCTION
Construction can begin as soon as a building
permit is issued. At this point, you can figure on approximately 150 days of actual
construction time.
STEP 8 - QUESTIONS
Should you have any questions during the construction
process, you are welcome to call us at 630.232.1400. Our Sunset Prairie Model is
open Monday thru Friday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday/Sunday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
STEP 9 - FINAL INSPECTION
Upon completion of your home, you will make
a final inspection of the property with a Keim Corp. representative. Any items in
need of adjustment will be noted at this time.
STEP 10 - CLOSING
Congratulations!
Upon closing - at the local offices of Chicago
Title & Trust - you will become the proud owner of one of the finest custom homes
in the western suburbs!
